Do you offer custom or private tours?
Yes! We specialize in food and folk art, so if you're a collector or restauranteur looking for new product or some inspiration, we can customize a tour for you.
What is your payment plan?
For 1 Week Trip:
$300 Non-refundable deposit to secure your spot, 50% of remaining balance is due 15 weeks prior to departure date, and final payment is due 70 days prior to departure date.
Does my package include airfare?
No, all of our packages are land-only packages.
Can you help me with booking my airfare?
Yes, we will do our best to help you book your flights.
What if I'm traveling alone?
Not to worry! We've had several people attend our trips on their own. You are welcome to have your own room for an additional fee or we can pair you up with another one of our travelers of the same sex. Once you book, we will call you to discuss your options further.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
For the most part that isn't a problem. We have been able to accommodate Vegetarian and Gluten-Free diets.
Once I've placed my order, then what?
We will personally reach out to you to discuss our upcoming trip. We are here for you every step of the way. We will let you know what to pack, what to expect on the trip and answer any and all questions. If you are in the San Diego area we will plan a happy hour for everyone to get a chance to know each other a bit before we head to Oaxaca.
Who will our tour guide be?
Elexia, owner of Eat.Drink.Cook.Mexico. and folk art gift shop, Casa Artelexia, will be your tour guide. She'll be with you every step of the way - from the moment your package is purchased until you return home, she'll be available to assist you with your travel plans. Read more about Elexia.

I've purchased a package and have changed my mind. Can I get a refund?
Yes, if you wish to cancel your travel services, you must submit your request to us in writing by email or postal mail. The date that Eat.Drink.Cook.Mexico. receives the written cancellation determines the cancellation charge applicable.
Note: If we can get your spot filled (and we will try our very best to), we will gladly refund you the full amount. If we cannot, the fees apply as listed below.
Cancellation Fees for Tours Per Person / Per Trip
70 Days or more prior to departure - FEE: $300 Deposit
30-69 Days prior to departure - FEE: 50% of total tour cost
0-29 Days prior to departure - FEE: 100% of total tour cost
